Lisa Potter-Dixon and Lia Briamonte - founders of Velvet Smoke - share a passion for interiors, champagne, and one hell of a good time.
Drawing inspiration from the debaucherous 70's disco scene, they have created a scent, Filthy Rose, that epitomises sexy, smoky dance floors, and evokes the feeling of a damn good time.
But Filthy Rose is just the beginning of what they have in store. The creative duo intend to fill your homes with innovative, luxury home accessories bringing their world in to yours. The party is just getting started.
Makeup artist and beauty expert, Lisa Potter-Dixon, has been involved in the beauty industry for over 20 years. From Global Head of Makeup Artistry at Benefit Cosmetics to creating editorial looks for the likes of ELLE, Wonderland and Arcadia magazine, and working with brands such as Chanel, Nars, Armani and Charlotte Tilbury, Lisa’s knowledge of all things beauty is extensive.
For Lisa a joie de vivre is at the core of everything she does, from how she scents her home to the products she relies upon to give her clients the ultimate glow, and the colours she uses to create magic on set, even down to the clothes that spark the most joy.
A magpie like eye for fashion and interiors (there is no such thing as too many disco balls, or too many sequins), when Lisa and Lia’s paths crossed it was love at first vintage Italian sight, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Lia Briamonte, the Creative Director of Anemone Interiors – a prominent mid-century furniture reseller with an impressive roster of clients. Lia privately sources furnishings for interior designers worldwide and has been featured in prestigious publications such as Vogue Italia, The World of Interiors, Red, Stylist, The Times, Elle Decor, and has even made appearances in notable films like Barbie the Movie, Ted Lasso, and Matilda The Movie.
Lia’s distinctive style, influenced by her Italian heritage, has been described 'a 1970's Palm Springs strip club,' (a depiction she wholeheartedly embraces), and an aesthetic she has imprinted on the heart of Velvet Smoke. Kindred spirits in their love of all things bright and beautiful initially brought Lia and Lisa together, and it’s been a chaotically colourful journey since.
